New anthology of poetry selected by Victoria Kennefick from winning and shortlisted entries to the Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award 2024.

Winning entry was by Simon Costello who has three poems in this collection. The Monsters Back also features work by Roisin Leggett Bohan and Eugene O’Hare amongst others. Foreword from Victoria Kennefick.

The award has been in existence since 1971 and this is the first year shortlisted entrants have featured in a pamphlet published in tandem with the award.
