I am a Monaghan soul with a love of colour and texture, very comfortable being hugged by the hills of our drumlin county. I have a deep connection with my locality, and I believe that Patrick Kavanagh’s words – ‘the local is the only thing that is universal’ – is proving prophetic in how the world needs to readjust its thinking for the longevity of the planet.

As a handweaver, my textiles are slowly & mindfully made. Sharing this with people who take the time to look for the beauty in ordinary things reflects how the Patrick Kavanagh exhibition makes me feel.
