KW26 Unreal Cities presents: Kyrie for Kavanagh

To Kavanagh, “poetry was a mystical thing”. A journey through the animistic landscape of Tom Stack’s ‘No Earthly Estate: The Religious Poetry of Patrick Kavanagh’, Kyrie for Kavanagh explores the spiritual side of Kavanagh’s writing, with readings, recital and songs dedicated to the evergreen themes of reconciliation and redemption.

Music from Jazz quintet; Nick Roth on saxophone, Alex Bonney on trumpet, Greg Felton on piano, Dan Bodwell on bass, Simon Roth on drums with Barry O’Halpin on guitar and voices; Adrian Dunbar, Jean-Marc Barr and Anne Waldman.
