Exhibition of new work by portrait artist Nina Ruminska.

‘This series of portraits is a reflection of Inniskeen, a village that, through decades of signification transformation, managed to retain its own unique character and identity. This project offered me the opportunity to connect with local people and learn about the impact Patrick Kavanagh’s life and work had on the community’

Subjects comprise of members from the local community and hinterland who connect in their own way with Patrick Kavanagh and the village of Inniskeen.

Opening reception as part of Culture Night.

This exhibition will run over the course of the Kavanagh Weekend 27-29 September and in Carrickmacross Civic Offices from the third week of October until the end of November. Produced by the Patrick Kavanagh Centre, it is supported by Creative Ireland, Culture Night, The Arts Council and Monaghan County Council.
